ESiWACE2 online training course on High-Performance Data Analytics (HPDA) and Visualisation

This training course aims to increase scientists’ expertise on data analysis and visualisation applied to climate and weather domains, using high-performance data analytics and visualisation tools available from the open source market. Examples of real applications of these tools (i.e., Ophidia and ParaView) in the climate and weather domain will be given.

The virtual training sessions will be delivered as follows:

Session 1: CMCC – Tuesday, 6 October 2020: 2pm – 4pm CET: Introduction to Ophidia
Session 2: DKRZ  – Tuesday, 13 October 2020: 2pm – 4pm CET: Introduction to ParaView
Session 3: CMCC – Thursday, 22 October 2020: 2pm – 4pm CET: Ophidia advanced concepts
Session 4: DKRZ  – Tuesday, 27 October 2020: 2pm – 4pm CET: ParaView hands on

The course is organized in the context of the “Centre of Excellence in Simulation of Weather and Climate in Europe, Phase 2” (ESiWACE2). The ESiWACE2 project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 823988.
